Thom is a professional engineer and business manager with 30 years of international experience working in Europe, Asia and North America.
He has held business development and P&L responsibility for engineering project service provision – mainly heavy engineering related.
Thom has worked internationally in a variety of industry sectors with experience in upstream/downstream oil, gas, petrochemicals, marine and power generation sectors.
Much of this experience has been at a senior management level with significant financial, performance and risk management accountabilities.
Thom’s skill sets include strategy and business case development, project management, project commercial & contract risk assessment, country P&L responsibility, asset management best practice and business development, working across cultures (particularly in Asia) and managing/rehabilitating engineering teams during significant change.
He is a member of the UK BSI mirror committee for ISO 55000 – working to convert PAS 55 (Asset Management) to an ISO Standard.
